Must-taste coffee locations in London?

Apparently there are other things in life I guess this is a place to talk about Sunderland Football club and malt whisky

Must-taste coffee locations in London?

Postby kjeldsen » Mon Feb 08, 2010 1:59 pm

My girlfriend got me a trip to london for my birthday (we live in denmark), and i was wondering if anyone has any form of input on anything coffee related i absolutely should taste, see or hear.

The WBC comes to mind, naturally, but i'm particularly interested in hearing about your favorite places for a fine cup of coffee, and where these places are located.

Also, does Hasbean have any form of shop in London? : )

Cheers,
Martin

No has bean shops in London :( Shame we would love a top location shop to showcase, but alas to no ends :(

Loads of places I would go to is

1 Flat White Soho
2 Fernadez and well Soho (just around the back of Flat White St Annes Court)
3 Monmouth (Monmouth Street)
4 Dose Barbican (great guy James owns it real gent)
5 Tina We Salute You (Dalston) may be a bit far out but cool
6 Kaffine (off tottenham Court road A MUST VISIT)
7. Espresso Room (opposite Great Ormond Street hospital)
8. Monmouth (Monmouth Street)
I likes coffee me!!

Monmouth listed twice? ;)

I can definately recommend Kaffine and Monmouth.
Out of the two, I prefered Kaffine - but that was mainly due to the look and feel of the place rather than the coffee. Both were excellent.
I've been told repeatedly that I need to "get a life"
But no matter how much I search, I just can't find one on Amazon or ebay...

Let us know how it goes! I've only tried Monmouth so far - liked it a lot.

If you need a useful tool for finding all of them

http://www.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF8 ... 54e8848d58

I personally thought Milk Bar did a better flat white than Kaffeine, but that was more the milk than the coffee, both lovely espresso base
